Final Harvest?

As autumn draws on it's time to start shutting down the greenhouses - harvested most of the remaining tomatoes and cucumbers from the main greenhouse today, and the grapes from the small greenhouse.

Unfortunately our grapes are still a tad on the measly side (mostly skin and pip) - so boiled them up to make grape jelly or some such.

Got a few courgettes from the vegetable patch as well - think I might be making soup over the next few days!

Nice Bunch

Looking better this year, but still more skin and pip than anything else - time to make some jam methinks!

On the Vine

Just picked our first couple of bunches of grapes from the small greenhouse - both bunches and grapes are a little on the small side, but not bad for a first crop. They've ripened nicely as well, but while sweet enough, they are a bit more pip and skin than anything else.  We'll have to see what we get next year, and perhaps try a spot of wine-making in due course.
